OUR STORY
Our first fundraising efforts began with a two-day Holiday Street Fair. After two years, our fundraising efforts blossomed into our annual Snow Ball Gala. The current membership of diverse women from Glendale, Peoria, Phoenix and surrounding area is committed to contributing social, civic, educational, and cultural service to their community for the benefit of children. Heart in Hand Award Recipients
The Golden W.H.E.E.L. Organization has chosen to honor members of our community who have taken personal time and resources to support the needs of home and family in our community. Past honorees include Connie Mitton, Founding Member; Jerry and Vickie Moyes; Danny Cuzick, Cuzick Jewelers; the Hal Hedges Family; and Oak Craft, Inc. In 2008, we are proud to honor Bill and Carol Raper of Peoria as the recipients of the 2008 “Heart In Hand” Award. Bill and Carol Raper are very involved in their community. Bill’s expertise in the construction industry was welcomed by the West Valley Child Crisis Center throughout the construction of the new Kids Campus which was completed in November 2002. They currently serve on the Board of Directors of the West Valley Child Crisis Center.
